We had a lovely experience in Ananda Bhavan. The hot snacks and panipuri counter that they have started outdoors are a hit. They have a 50% off going on Panipuri and Bangalore-style Masala Puri until the end of October. Bun Maska, Irani Chai, and Osmania biscuits along with Firni were refreshing additions to their menu. We sampled all the available snacks outdoors like Punugulu, Mirchi Vada, Dal Vada, and Onion Samosa. It was all fantastic. Dosas and Idlis are undoubtedly delicious. Seating arrangement is enough both indoors and outdoors. Great service! Check out the full reels on my Instagram page @veggie_central

We are new in town and had been exploring multiple Indian restaurants who caters in Thali options obviously we are trying diverse cuisine, but this place had its own originality back from India so wanted to give it a try the outlook of the place OK it looked like we were in India almost inside They had one bad option. The service is great. They're pretty fast and they were able to change some options for us without any charge. We also had a coffee which was amazing, but the thought was fulfilling had south Indian taste of everything they made. it's a comfort food so I would always go back and have Ali there, but they do have other options that you should explore and I also heard that in the evenings they have live chat station and free Iranian chai. I'm sure they can improve their ambience, but it looked kind of neat place. I would give six out of 10 for their ambience.

So this is our "go to" for pani puri stall style. The line moves fast, and gives you a chance to have small talk with other patrons. The Chai is good, some of the better chai options in the area. The music is always lively, and the staff really try to accommodate for weather conditions. They built a rain shelter so folks don't get too wet while they eat. The indoors and outdoors act separate from each other, but really a great way to keep things moving.

This was my second time trying this place. The first time I only tried the outside Street food which my experience was great as well. Let me warn you though, don't be like me and ask for spicy because my tongue was on fire. LOL. This time around we are inside and had the Dosa with some dipping sauces. They are big portions so I'd advise to share and maybe order a different dish. It's a fun place to share and try different things. We honestly didn't really know how to order but the staff was very helpful. This place is casual. Outside has music and chairs and heaters on a cold day. There's so much more I would like to try. I recommend this place. Great food and full of flavor and spice.

TLDR : Great food, good options for south indian thali and wonderful service. We visited Ananda Bhavan for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The thali was good with multiple options and each of the options were good. Their filter coffee was nice and strong.

Went to AB after 2 years, and the fact that their Dahi Vadas and filter coffee continue to taste divine is testament enough to their consistent food quality. We were extremely hungry and felt adventurous enough to try two new items this time around- (a) Fried mini Idly with Sambar- Maybe it is just me, but I'm not sold on the idea of coating mini idly with gunpowder and deep frying it, only to dunk it in sambar. I'll stick to the OG soft and fluffy mini idlis next time. (b) Mini meals- pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of bisibelebath, biryani and curd rice. The crispy tapioca chips that came with the rice were simply too good! Shoutout to the hardworking staff and the quick, efficient service!

We still visit this place often and love the consistency of good food, friendly service and clean utensils :) Recent favs include: - cheese kiddo uttapam - gongura dosa -Mysore masala dosa - filter coffee - special new year thali we had on jan 1 - podi dosa Tip: if u check in at yelp, u get 10% off on weekday dinners
